Save Arizona's Minimum Wage! -- Salvar al Salario Minimo en Arizona!

At the end of February, the Commerce Committee of the Arizona House of Representatives approved a bill that would steal money from the paychecks of Arizona's lowest paid employees. The bill cuts the minimum wage by $3 for teenagers and $2 for tipped employees. greed.jpgTell the bill's sponsor, Rep. Steve Court, to stop giving breaks to the 1% at the expense of Arizona's working families!

****

Rep. Court,

We call on you to stop doing the bidding of Arizona's 1% by cutting the minimum wage by $3 for teenagers and $2 tipped employees. This is a special interest payoff at the expense of our state's working families. We demand you pull the bill or let it die.

How draconian – and pandering to special interests. The 1% just wants more of the money at the expense of the working poor. The minimum wage as it is now is not sufficient to live on.

When the legislature is willing to live on what they expect the general public to live on then they can make cuts, otherwise leave the minimum wage alone, its hardly enough to live on now, most of the time its not enough to live on. Hands off!

we are blessed to have working people in this state – this is a very rude, selfish movement when we have already given this pittance to the people.

we can’t take back what we have already given.

Why are trying to hurt these poor people? Give them a break – they work hard and deserve a better wage.
