Status: Seasonal/Short-term August-November 13, 2022, full-time, Exempt 40 hours ++per week
Reports to: Campaign Director
Location: Must reside in Arizona within the legislative district (LD)
Salary Range: : $1250-$1400 per week dependent on experience, benefits, perks and incentive pay offered

ABOUT

LUCHA Blue is a Progressive Political Campaign to ensure that we continue to shift Arizona's Political Landscape to a more inclusive and progressive vision. We believe that not all candidates align with the mission and vision of LUCHA, and this is why we created a campaign not only to flip Arizona Blue- but LUCHA Blue!! This year LUCHA blue will prioritize a number of races. With a goal of creating a strategic voter contact campaign plan to include a field plan of knocking 500K doors, driving 250K calls, and layering a digital and comms strategy. Overall the goal of the campaign is to win these targeted races, increase latinx voter turnout, and educate voters on the voting process.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will work directly with the Lucha Blue Campaign Director and other departments as needed. Responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties for the Lucha Blue Campaign. Assisting by responding to calls, community members, inquiries, keeping inventory of office supplies and placing new orders, planning and organizing meetings (Zoom), assisting in planning events, maintaining calendars and delivering supplies/items as necessary. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with little to no direct supervision. We are looking for a reliable Administrative Assistant who is willing to help support our Lucha Blue Campaign to operate the day to day operations in order to ensure success.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Lucha Blue Campaign Director to oversee daily campaign operations for multiple offices across AZ by purchasing supplies and materials

  • Accurately tracking and processing program budgets request

  • Responsible for enforcing organization's policies and procedures within the office

  • Proactively recommend improvements to increase performance

  • Monitor and processing sales orders

  • Maintaining vendor relations (landlords/cleaning personnel)

  • Accurate filing receipts, invoices and legal documents for the organization

  • Keep updated supplies and merchandise inventory

  • Receive deliveries and distribute when necessary

  • Prepare travel accommodations

  • Attend to any correspondence by email and phone to provide information about the campaign

  • Understand the roles and departments within the Lucha Blue Campaign to be able to redirect messages/individuals to the correct department

  • Assist the Campaign Director with all other duties not described here


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, able to adapt to day to day changes & needs

  • Knowledge of principles, practices, methods of day-to-day office management functions

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail demonstrating results in good records keeping, files, calendar of events and data

  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people

  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills necessary

  • Exceptional customer service, communication (writing, editing, verbal, and presentation) skills necessary. Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization, both verbally and in writing

  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic and ability to work with little to no supervision

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Google: Gmail and G Suite, Quickbooks, computer knowledge and skills, social media, and reporting tools (1-2 years preferred)

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 Lb or more

  • Schedule Flexibility (some traveling is required up to 25%)

  • Reliable transportation required, must maintain and show proof of valid insurance and driver’s license

  • Must be willing to provide a 39 month MVR from ADOT

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED acceptable

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish (Speak, Read and Write)

  • Must be Phoenix resident

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Knows how to use WhatsApp or Signal

Contingencies & Physical Requirements

This job requires travel (20%), to be physically present, shadow canvassers and standing for long periods of time, walking through diverse neighborhoods and businesses for extended periods, exposure to a variety of weather conditions (rainy, snow, hot and/or cold), lifting up to 10-15 pounds and frequent use of technology. Must be willing to submit a 39 month certified MVR and if necessary undergo a criminal background check. Must be able to work 6 days a week Monday-Saturday and occasionally on Sundays
